Pharmaceutical and food equipment is welded, cleaned with aggressive chemicals and often polished. SS 316L sheet keeps weld seams corrosion resistant and polishes well.
For architectural cladding near the sea, a smooth finish on SS 316L sheet resists staining far better than SS 304.
