Q1Do you need a PETRONAS licence to supply pipe in Malaysia?
To supply PETRONAS and the upstream and downstream oil and gas sector, a vendor needs a PETRONAS licence for the relevant Standardised Work and Equipment Category (SWEC).[1][3] Foreign companies qualify through a local agent, a local joint venture or a local branch.[1][4] We supply through licensed Malaysian partners and to their purchase specifications.

Three years from the first approved SWEC, according to PETRONAS's licence registration FAQ.[2]
