Supplying Singapore's stockists, plants and yards
In short: Singapore buys for itself and for the region. Stockists re-export across Southeast Asia, Jurong Island's chemical plants need alloy spares on fixed dates, and marine yards need seawater alloys. Bright Tubes supplies all three from India with EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 certificates and marking that survives being split into smaller lots.
Three kinds of buyer
One island, three different orders
01
Stockists and traders
Hold mixed grades and sizes for the region and need consistent, well-documented replenishment.
02
Jurong Island plants
03
Marine and offshore yards
Rig and vessel builders and repairers buy seawater-resistant alloys and bolting.
Re-export
Split the container without losing traceability
Stock bought in Singapore is often broken into smaller lots for buyers in three or four countries. Each piece has to stay traceable to its certificate, or the next inspector rejects it.
- Heat number on every length
Stencilled along the pipe, and hard-stamped where your customers ask for it, not just printed on a bundle tag that gets thrown away.
- Certificates by heat, with quantities
One EN 10204 certificate per heat listing piece count and sizes, so the stockist can issue a true copy with each split lot.
- Packing list by heat and size
Lots can be broken and re-packed without opening every bundle or re-inspecting.
- Packed for humid storage
End caps on, stainless kept apart from carbon steel to avoid iron contamination, wrapping suited to months in a tropical warehouse.

Singapore buyer questions
Answers for Singapore
Is there import duty on steel pipe in Singapore?
Singapore charges customs duty only on a short list of goods such as liquor, tobacco, motor vehicles and petroleum, so steel pipe and fittings are normally duty-free. Goods and Services Tax (GST) is charged on imports at the prevailing rate.
Do you sell to Singapore stockists for re-export?
Yes. Much of what we ship to Singapore is redistributed across Southeast Asia and Australia. We pack, mark and certify so the stockist can split the consignment and pass the right certificate with each piece.
Can you supply Jurong Island turnaround material?
Yes: Cr-Mo, H-grade stainless and nickel alloy spares, with EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 certificates and PMI. Send the list early so mill items meet your shutdown date.
Which grades do Singapore marine yards use?
Super duplex 2507 and CuNi 90/10 for seawater systems, SS 316L for general stainless service, and B7M or L7 bolting where specified. See CuNi 90/10 vs 70/30.
