3 grades Coils

Non-Ferrous Metals Coils

Coils are continuous rolled strip wound into rolls, supplied hot-rolled or cold-rolled in mill widths or slit narrower. They feed tube mills, stamping lines, roll formers and service centres, and are the most economical form for high-volume flat-product users.

How non-ferrous metals coils are made, sized and tested

Non-Ferrous Metals Coils Thickness about 0.3 – 12 mm

How it's madeHot-rolled coil (HRC) comes from the hot-strip mill. Cold-rolled coil (CRC) is further reduced on a cold mill, then annealed and pickled or bright annealed, and skin-passed. Slitting lines cut master coils into narrow strips to the width you order.

Size range
Thickness about 0.3 – 12 mm; widths from narrow slit strip (about 10 mm) to 1,250 / 1,500 / 2,000 mm; coil ID 508 / 610 mm; coil weights to order
Finish
No.1 (hot-rolled, annealed, pickled), 2B, 2D, BA, No.4 for stainless; HR black, pickled & oiled, CR for carbon steel
Ends
Mill edge or slit edge

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between HR and CR coil?

Hot-rolled coil is rolled at high temperature, with a scaled or pickled surface and wider tolerances. Cold-rolled coil is reduced at room temperature for tighter thickness, a smoother surface and better flatness.

Which non-ferrous metals grades are available as coils?

Titanium Grade 2, Copper, Aluminium.

Which specifications cover non-ferrous metals coils?

ASTM B265, ASTM B152, ASTM B209, depending on grade.
