Why this combination
Why SS 304L in flanges
Weld-neck and slip-on flanges are welded to the pipe, so their chemistry matters at the joint. F304L keeps that joint as corrosion resistant as the pipe.
Pressure ratings come from ASME B16.5 for the material group; dual F304/F304L flanges carry the SS 304 ratings.
