Seawater pits SS 316L and can attack 2205 when warm or chlorinated. 2507's PREN above 40 clears the usual seawater threshold, and its strength keeps walls thin.

Offshore orders typically add ferrite, impact and ASTM G48 testing, and often NORSOK M-650 mill qualification.
