Why this combination

Why Duplex 2205 in tubes

Yield strength about 450 MPa: roughly twice that of SS 316LPREN about 34–35Excellent resistance to chloride SCCMagnetic; service generally limited to about 280–300 °C

Exchanger tubes in warm chloride water often crack in SS 316L; duplex resists chloride stress corrosion cracking far better.

Hydraulic and instrument tube benefits from duplex's high strength and pressure rating.
