Monel Alloys
Nickel-copper alloys known for resistance to seawater, hydrofluoric acid and alkalis, with an age-hardenable version for high-strength shafts and fasteners.
Monel grades
- Monel 400Monel 400 (Alloy 400, UNS N04400) is a nickel-copper alloy with excellent resistance to seawater, hydrofluoric acid, sulphuric acid under reducing conditions, and alkalis.
- Monel K-500Monel K-500 (Alloy K-500, UNS N05500) is an age-hardenable nickel-copper alloy that adds aluminium and titanium to Alloy 400, giving about three times its yield strength with similar corrosion resistance.
